Twitter stands out from other social media sites or apps. The platform requires a ton of content as a tweet is a lot shorter than a LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram post.

Facebook and Instagram algorithms change more frequently as well. As of June 2020, an Instagram post's visibility is for 21 hours, while a Facebook post is about 5 hours. Well, "What is the lifespan of a Tweet?" you may ask – only 18 minutes! 

Think of it like this: Browsing on social media is like tubing down a river trying to get back to shore. Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn are ports you can swim into easily. Twitter is like throwing a rope and HOPING that the person grabs it (more fun yet more risk).

Despite this, it doesn't mean you should overload your feeds multiple times a day. Instead, ensure you are posting and tweeting at more beneficial times. The best times to tweet in EST:

• Wednesday and Friday 8 AM-10 AM

• Tuesday to Friday 8 AM-12 PM

• Wednesday 1 PM-3 PM

• Tuesday 7 PM-9 PM

When is the Best Time to Post on LinkedIN?

LinkedIn targets a much more specific audience than other social media platforms. Its network has a niche audience that you shouldn't ignore within your marketing strategy.

With a mix of corporate leaders and job seekers, there is no question most LinkedIn engagement occurs during typical work hours. On the weekends, however, it is pretty scarce. Try to avoid posting on Saturday and Sunday. Besides, a LinkedIn post does well for 24 hours and will circulate throughout the week anyway.

The best day to post on LinkedIn is Wednesdays from 8 AM-9 AM and 12 PM. Another safe option is 7 AM-1 PM Tuesday to Friday.
